This full architectural renovation transforms a 1960s Darling Point penthouse into a serene, light-filled harbour retreat. Originally a dark, compartmentalised apartment, the 221 sqm home has been reconfigured into an open, connected interior framed by uninterrupted views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

A refined palette of natural, high-end materials creates continuity throughout. Taj Mahal stone anchors key elements — the cantilevered fireplace, sculpted bar, curved en-suite walls and custom bath — and continues through the herringbone timber flooring with Taj Mahal stone inlays. Bespoke full-height joinery and batten-effect detailing introduce subtle layers of sophistication while maintaining a sense of calm and restraint.

Designed to balance art, architecture and daily living, the penthouse now embodies understated luxury and thoughtful functionality. Managed entirely on behalf of the client living abroad. The home serves as a future retirement sanctuary defined by light, craftsmanship and enduring quality.
